House Ethics Investigating Rashida Tlaib For Taking Salary From Campaign Before Taking Office

When a Democrat is investigated, he or she is accorded due process by Republicans, i.e. no wrongdoing is assumed, but the same treatment is NEVER accorded to Republicans.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib is in trouble with the House Ethics Committee which is reviewing her campaign actions before taking office in 2018.

Tlaib allegedly took a salary from her 2018 campaign which could be seen as inappropriate.

The Democrat-led House Ethics Committee chairman Ted Deutch and the panel’s ranking member, Rep. Kenny Marchant said even though Tlaib is under review does not mean she is guilty of wrongdoing. That could mean that Democrats watch over their lawbreakers once again.

A joint statement was released from the House Ethics Committee stating: “The Committee notes that the mere fact of a referral or an extension, and the mandatory disclosure of such an extension and the name of the subject of the matter, does not itself indicate that any violation has occurred, or reflect any judgment on behalf of the Committee.”

In other words, this “ethics” review is a farce. The “House Ethics Committee” reviewing the behavior of “congresscritters” is tantamount to the mafia policing itself. It’s a bad joke on all of us. Nothing will happen to her.

Gee, Trump has complied with the law, and that does not stop democrats from investigating him.

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) allows nonincumbent candidates to pay themselves a salary from their campaign committees if they meet certain criteria. The campaign salary is designed to help first-time candidates who aren’t independently wealthy. […]

Conservative outlets in March highlighted FEC records showing that Tlaib’s campaign paid out $17,500 in salary disbursements after the Nov. 6, 2018, general election. One payment of $2,000 was dated Nov. 16, while another of $15,500 was dated Dec. 1.

The FEC rules for allowing a candidate to receive a campaign salary state that the payments can be made until the date of the general election or until the candidate is no longer running.

The rules also state that the salary cannot exceed the minimum annual salary for the federal office sought by the candidate or what the candidate received as income in the previous year.

An FEC spokesperson did tell The Washington Free Beacon in March that a candidate can pay themselves after the general election date for an activity that happened up to that date. (The Hill)

Daddy Dearest! Rashida Tlaib’s Father Tells MI Newspaper She Lied To Get Elected

From the moment it was confirmed that then-candidate Donald Trump won the 2016 election, Congressional Democrats accused him of impeachable offenses, and there is an abundance of evidence that they joined forces with his opponents within the federal government and the media to frame him and are still doing so.

Nancy Pelosi changed the impeachment rules, the IC changed the whistleblower rules, and the media consistently publishes uncorroborated anti-Trump stories leaked to it by people it knows are biased against him, all to advance their impeachment campaign.

Whether or not her behavior was ethical or legal, the thing to note is how this story is presented in the MSM, if at all. Think about how this would be reported should this be a Republican.

If we are being honest, Tlaib should be in jail for state election fraud. She listed her home of record as her father’s home but I digress.
