The Democratic majority of the House Intelligence Committee has released its report from the impeachment inquiry — and it is no surprise it is not flattering to the president.
The ideological and partisan stamp of Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif). is evident throughout the tome.
At over 300 pages long, the compendium of hearsay and biased statements is what the Democrats will present to the Dem-stacked House Judiciary Committee as the basis for impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump.

The report claims, “President Trump’s scheme subverted U.S. foreign policy toward Ukraine and undermined our national security in favor of two politically motivated investigations that would help his presidential reelection campaign … The president engaged in this course of conduct for the benefit of his own presidential re-election, to harm the election prospects of a political rival, and to influence our nation’s upcoming presidential election to his advantage.”
“In doing so, the president placed his own personal and political interests above the national interests of the United States, sought to undermine the integrity of the U.S. presidential election process, and endangered U.S. national security.”
Schiff also tweeted the following:
The impeachment inquiry uncovered overwhelming and uncontested evidence that President Trump abused the powers of his office to solicit foreign interference in our election for his own personal, political gain.
No one is above the law.

The White House forcefully responded, “At the end of a one-sided sham process, Chairman Schiff and the Democrats utterly failed to produce any evidence of wrongdoing by President Trump,” White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said.
“This report reflects nothing more than their frustrations. Chairman Schiff’s report reads like the ramblings of a basement blogger straining to prove something when there is evidence of nothing.”
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), a member of both the Intel and Judiciary Committees, responded to the Democrat report as well in this tweet.
Doesn’t matter what the Dems write. 4 facts will never change:
-The call transcript shows no linkage
-President Trump and President Zelensky both say no pressure
-Ukraine didn’t know aid was held up at the time of the call
-Ukraine never took any action to get aid released (1/3)

The petulant and frustrated tone of the Dem report is understandable for one key reason.
After weeks of grandstanding and hearsay, the Dems have not made a dent in the president’s support.
His poll numbers have held steady — and even climbed to a small degree.
The polling for the impeachment push also shows a gradual decline in terms of support for impeachment and for removing the president from office.
Those numbers have put the GOP on the offensive going into Wednesday’s House Judiciary Committee hearing — and have even put air into the censure boomlet floating around D.C. the past week.
The pressure on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) not to endanger Dems in swing House districts that Trump won in 2016, where constituents may not take well to removing Trump from the presidency, will be enormous.
By ignoring it and trudging on to a full House vote, she risks the Dem House majority and thus her own speakership.
If that is the price hard-Left Dems are demanding from her not to go into open rebellion — it will be a costly bill come November 2020.
