New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has been spending a lot of time rewriting history. That’s the only way he can blame President Trump for his own unconscionable mishandling of the CCP Virus in his state by sending infected elderly people back to nursing homes .
But don’t worry, reportedly, an ethics commission cleared him of any wrongdoing. An ethics commission where, apparently, Cuomo-appointed commissioners have access to information non-Cuomo commissioners do not. Apparently, the investigation’s mandate was to look only at fault by “nursing and adult-care facilities,” not state government. Nothing to see here, folks.
Well, that’s not the only unconscionable mishandling the Governor has been responsible for. Cuomo is also a fan of “bail reform laws ,” banning cash bail, which results in dangerous people being put back on the streets—very dangerous. In fact, he cares so much about eradicating cash bail, he’s held the state budget hostage in exchange for eliminating cash bail.
Since the inception of no cash bail in New York, astonishingly, and though proponents said it would apply only to non-violent offenses, authorities have released people from jail with no bond for alleged crimes including firearms violations, bank robbery, and, now, murder. Incidentally, one bank robber, after being released without bail, went out and robbed another bank . A good union bank robber, right there.
This also applies to Cuomo’s refusing to cooperate with federal law enforcement by creating a false extra layers of compliance the feds must observe to ensure state and local officials will cooperate with federal requests. The New York Post recently reported , “State prison officials put a reputed MS-13 gang member back on the streets — even though the feds wanted him held on a murder charge that carries the death penalty.”
The feds had issued a warrant for the arrest of the suspect, 26-year-old Ever Morales-Lopez. Morales-Lopez “indicted in July , along with seven other reputed MS-13 members, on racketeering charges that cover six murders, two attempted murders and a kidnapping conspiracy, a law enforcement source familiar with his case said.”
Let me repeat that, six murders, two attempted murders, and a conspiracy to commit kidnapping. The U.S. government, following constitutional laws, did the right thing by issuing the warrant and notifying New York Morales-Lopez should be held, so the feds could take him into custody, keeping him off the streets. The State of New York, doing the wrong thing, has created a system where state authorities are breaking the law if they cooperate with federal agents.
So, what non-violent mischief did the suspect released by the woke State of New York do? Not much. He only took part in luring a rival gang member to a secluded area in the woods. Once there, the gang used machetes to hack to death, Kerin Pineda, 19-years-old, and then buried him in a shallow grave.
It’s hard for sane people to understand how people, who seem otherwise normal, who are pleasant in person, who have children, can support releasing such creeps back into our neighborhoods. But that’s how it is, right? These dangerous people aren’t released into the governor’s neighborhood; they’re being released into our neighborhoods. These officials’ commitment to a radical ideology seems unexplainable. Then again, it’s hard to explain what cannot be understood—by sane people.
